Austin Arthur Campaign Signs and Supporters
Homes VANDALIZED Across All of District 1

For Immediate Release

August 14, 2024

Tuesday, August 13th, over 20 Austin Arthur campaign signs were damaged and destroyed across District 1. Signs were vandalized by paintball, spray paint, and broken apart. In at least one known case, residential property of an Arthur supporter was damaged, including a fence, a mailbox, and paintball projectiles coming onto the property. Paintball shots seemed to be targeted on the facial likenesses of Austin, his 10-year-old daughter, and his wife.

One angry resident posted the following on Facebook: “Respect my property! You damaged my fence and my mailbox! Pretty sure messing with people's mailbox is a federal crime! My family is often in our yard and the shots came all the way into our property!”

This was just one of the many attacks from opposition to Arthur’s campaign these past couple of weeks. The attacks have been relentless on the internet, with lies about his family and past, including the use of deepfake AI recordings and videos to make outlandish statements sound like they were made by Arthur. In the last couple of weeks, small businesses have also been harassed with letters threatening boycotts of their businesses for supporting Arthur. Arthur confronted his political opponent, current Commissioner Nicole Wilson, live during a debate recently and she denied having involvement or even knowing who the person behind much of these attacks was.

This even after Arthur showed photo evidence of the two together and pointed the person out during the debate live who was in the studio audience, this was all laid out prior in a video he released some weeks ago.
