A Message from Austin Arthur's Wife

Early Voting begins August 5th. For your nearest voting location, you may visit OCFElections.com. As you may be aware, my husband Austin Arthur is running to serve as our next District 1 County Commissioner. Rather than writing just about his positions on the issues, I’d like to tell you about the man I know and love.

Austin is a loving and caring husband and father and is one of the most selfless people I know. He has a huge heart for people, especially for those who may be “down and out.” He volunteers and serves on the boards of several charities, such as Eight Waves Children and Family Services, West Orange Habitat for Humanity, Challenge 22 to End Veteran Suicide and others.

Austin is also a successful businessman and job creator. He and his brother founded Gymnastics USA, which is Florida’s largest gymnastics center, and they run a marketing company. Before that, Austin was a firefighter/paramedic. One of his traits I admire greatly is his ability to mediate a problem with everyone walking away happy.

Recently, we learned Austin’s opponent is using an online company to smear his name. They dug up old court records, even from his previous marriage, and altered them to dramatize and mislead voters. His former wife and in-laws refuted the accusations and are publicly supporting Austin. It’s a shame his opponent has resorted to such dishonest tactics. I refuse to let them smear my husband’s name with such falsehoods. He is my best friend and I’m proud to be his wife.

For all the reasons above and more is why I believe Austin will be an effective County Commissioner for all of us. His priorities include:

· Control the growth and prioritize infrastructure-first

· Protect Rural Settlements and our green spaces

· Commonsense traffic solutions

· Crime prevention through early intervention

· Causation-focused homeless prevention

· Low taxes and pro-small business policies

If you agree with these priorities and agree that integrity, care for people and their opinions, and a strong work ethic are important, I hope you will join me in voting for Austin as our next County Commissioner.

Kellie Arthur
